Human Free Will: Its Implications

human free will: implications

By: Al-Maududi.

Excerpts from the book "The Principles of Islam" published in 1977 by the Islamic Center of Granada. The entire book can be read in http://www.latinodawah.org/library/spanish/losprincipios-libro.html

[...] Islam is an Arabic word which means submission, obedience. As for religion, Islam preaches submission and total obedience to God. [...]

The cosmic order that governs the universe, from particles to galaxies, is the law of God, the Creator and Lord of the Universe. Since the whole of creation obeys God's laws, we can say that the whole Universe is literally the religion of Islam, because Islam does not mean more than submission and obedience to God, the Lord of the Universe. The Sun, Moon, Earth and all other heavenly bodies as "Muslims" [...]. Everything in the Universe is Muslim because everything obeys the laws that have been assigned by God. [...]

Man has a dual nature, his life takes place on two different levels. On the one hand, like all other creatures, is entirely dependent on natural laws and can not get rid of them. But on the other hand, the man is endowed with reason and intelligence. It has the power to think and judge, to choose or refuse to approve or disapprove. You are free to choose their religion, their way of life and lead their lives according to the ideologies of their choice. You can draw your own code of conduct or accept one formulated by others. Has been endowed with the free will and can decide their own behavior. On this background, unlike other creatures, has received the freedom of thought, opinion and action. These two aspects clearly coexist in human life.

In the first case, like all other creatures, man is born and be a Muslim and automatically follows the commands of God. In the second, have the freedom to choose, or may not be Muslim, and the manner of exercising that freedom is the line that divides humanity into two groups: Those who submit to God and those who deny or reject God. Who chooses to recognize his Creator and Sovereign accept single scrupulously submits to His commands, follow the law has revealed to man for his individual and social life, thus comes to be a perfect Muslim. Has failed to reach full Islam, voluntarily deciding to obey God in the flat where he had been given the freedom to choose. [...]

Unlike this man is the man who though by nature he is a Muslim, lives in an unconscious way all his life, does not exercise its powers of reason, intelligence and intuition to recognize their Lord and Creator, and not use their freedom of choice rather than to deny its existence. Such a man is called kafir in Islam.

"Kufar" literally means "cover," "hide." The man who denies God is called "Kafir" (Concealer) because of their unbelief, conceals what is inherent in his nature and his soul, because nature is instinctively oriented towards Islam. His whole body, every member, every fiber of his body, is subject to that instinct. Every particle of existence, animate or inanimate, fulfills its function in accordance with the law of Islam and plays the role it has been awarded. But this man's life has been obscured, their spirit was lost and is unable to see the evidence. Can not discern their nature and their actions and thoughts are in total disagreement with her. The reality is foreign and groping in the dark. Here is the nature of the kuffar.

the "kuffar" is a form of ignorance, or rather, ignorance is par excellence. Is there any bigger than ignorance to ignore God, the Creator, the Lord of the Universe? He is a man who observes the vast panorama of nature, its mechanism and immutable superb, great concept that shines in all aspects of Creation: watch this gigantic machine, but they know who has made and addressed. Examine your own body, this wonderful body that works in a stupendous manner that serves their own ends, but is unable to discern the forces that has raised, the engineer who conceived and produced this machine, the Creator has fact be unique to this: man, from inanimate materials: carbon, calcium, sodium ... Recognizes the sublime concept of the universe, but can not distinguish who has conceived. Admire the smooth operation without seeing him as the Creator. You can see in the universe that surrounds the most brilliant displays of expertise in science, philosophy, mathematics or technology, but is blind to the One who gave birth to the infinite universe and never fully explained. How does a man unable to distinguish this particular fact could reach the real potential of knowledge? How does a man who has been in the wrong way could get good destination? You can not explain never the Reality, the True Path will be closed forever, and when undertaking something in the realm of science or thought, you can not ever enjoy the lights of truth and wisdom. Continue to walk blind and babbling in the darkness of ignorance.

Much worse: the "kuffar" is a tyrant, and even worse there. What is a tyranny, but a cruel and unjust use of force or power? If something or someone by force is contrary to justice or his own nature and his will, this is called tyranny

just saw that the whole universe is subject to God the Creator. What is natural, is to obey, to live according to His will and His law (more accurately, being a Muslim). God has given man power over all creation whose very nature demands that it be used for the sole performance of His will and only for this. Anyone who disobeys God, who is "Kafir," he is guilty of more serious injustice, using all the powers of his body and his spirit against the trends of nature, and thus becomes the unwitting instrument the drama of disobedience. Forces his head (whose natural instinct is to bow only before God the One, the One) to bow to other gods are not the true God, fed to your heart (the natural instinct is to love God) of love, respect and fear of another authority other than the Supreme Authority, the One This is in total contradiction with the natural instincts of these organs. Use the power he has (and has been given only by God himself) against the explicit will of God, making reign of tyranny. Can there be more cruel tyranny and injustice that this man who exploits the Creation and shamelessly forced to follow a path contrary to nature and justice?

the "kuffar" is not simply tyranny is worse, pure rebellion, ingratitude, infidelity. After all, what is man really? What power and what authority do you have? Who created your brain, your heart, your soul, your own body? Did he himself or God, may He be exalted? Was he or was God who created the universe? Who has put all the forces of nature to serve man, he or God? If all things were created by God and only Him alone, who thus belong to? Who is the sovereign right? God and God alone. If God is the Creator, the Lord, the Sovereign, is there anyone more rebellious than the man who uses God's creation against His decrees, that makes your mind and heart against God, and uses all his powers against the will of the Lord? The server who betrays his master, the officer who turns against his country, who deceives his benefactor, are all traitors. But what about the treachery and ingratitude and unbelief of "Kafir"? After all, what is the true source of all authority? Who has raised man to a higher position? All that man has and all that serves or benefits from others, has been given by God. With respect to their parents, the man has the largest land obligations, but who has been at the heart of parents that love their children, and who inspires you to do everything in their power for their welfare? Where does the innate desire and the possibility that the mother has to feed their children? It is clear that God is the greatest benefactor of man. It is your Creator, who feeds him and makes him live as well as their Lord and Master. Such is the position of God towards man, and no bigger betrayal and ingratitude than the "kuffar," which leads a man to reject her true Lord.

would be ridiculous to think that by adopting the attitude of "kuffar" man hurts God Almighty. Of any mode. What harm could the man who is an insignificant speck of dust on the surface of a tiny planet spinning in this infinite universe, the Ruler of the Universe, whose kingdom is so vast that with the help of more powerful telescopes allows us to guess its limits, which directs the path to heaven on Earth, Moon, Sun and the myriads of stars? Which provides all needs, but has no need for anyone to provide theirs. Man's rebellion against God can not do Him any harm, on the contrary, this disobedience merely precipitate the man on the road to ruin and disgrace.

The inevitable consequence of this rebellion and this denial is the latest setback in the ideals of life. A rebel will never find the path to true knowledge. Because knowing that it was unable to discover to his own Creator, you can not find any truth. The spirit and the reason for such a man is always astray. What reason can not recognize its Creator could elucidate the mysteries of life? This man did not suffer more than failures in all domains. Its moral, civic, social, family, their struggle to secure their livelihood, everything will be affected. Do not spread more than confusion and disorder in the land. Remorselessly, shed blood, violate the rights of their fellow men, be cruel to them, raise up the mess and destruction in the world. His thoughts and perverted ambitions, absence of insight, his distorted sense of values, their nefarious activities will be disastrous both for them and their relatives. Such a man can ruin the peace and balance of life on earth. In later life will be held guilty of the crimes committed against himself. His whole body, your brain, eyes, nose, hands, your feet will lament the misuse of them have done. Every cell in your body will rebuke before God, who is the true source of justice, and will apply the sentence he deserves. Such is the shameful result of "kuffar." It's going to total failure, both in this life and in later life. [...]

God has given man the possibility of education, think and meditate, and the knowledge of good and evil. But he has given, on the other hand, a relative freedom of will and action. It is in the exercise of this freedom as man is tested. [...] God has given freedom of will and action, so you can freely choose the way of life that is deemed good: Islam or "kuffar."

It is, therefore, on the one hand the man not to understand either its nature or the universe. Know who is the true sovereign and what are His attributes, and misused their freedom by taking the path of disobedience and rebellion. Such a man has failed in the examination of his knowledge, his intelligence and his sense of duty, and does not deserve a better fate than the one discussed above.

On the other hand, you can find who emerges victorious from this testing. Properly using their knowledge and spirit recognizes its Creator, have faith in Him, and without being in any way forced, choose to obey. He knows right from wrong, and even entirely free from If not, choose the good. Understands its nature, comply with its laws and its realities, yet having complete freedom of ways to follow, no matter what, it takes one of obedience and loyalty to his God, his Creator. [...]

Choose the truth, the reality is, is submitted with all gratitude to his Lord and Master. It is an intelligent, honest, who has a sense of duty, which has opted for the light before the darkness, and after distinguished reality, has responded enthusiastically to his call. [...]

At each stage of his quest, his consciousness of God will prevent you from evil and destructive use of science and scientific methods.

never will dream not to boast of being the master of these forces, the conqueror of nature, and attributed divine prerogatives, nor shall the human race [...] establishing his supremacy over all, without going back to the vilest means. Such an attitude of rebellion and defiance can not be a Muslim. Only a scholar "kafir" could be prey to such illusions and succumb exposing all mankind to the dangers of total destruction and annihilation. A Muslim scholar, by contrast, would behave differently. The more clearly see in the field of science, the more it reinforced his faith in God. Bow his head at him with gratitude, as he has blessed his sovereign power and giving it a very large science must reach for its own sake and for humanity. Instead of being proud, be humble, rather to exalt his own power, do great things for the common good. Not be given to unbridled freedom. Will be guided by the principles of morality and Divine revelation. In this way, science in his hands, instead of being an instrument of destruction, will become a means of human welfare and moral regeneration. It is in this way expressed his gratitude to his Sovereign for the gifts and blessings he has bestowed upon man. [...]

Regarding the right, the Muslim will try to make him the real instrument of justice, to protect the rights of everyone, particularly the weak. Shall ensure that each party receives and deserves any injustice or oppression is inflicted on anyone. Respect the law, will respect and will ensure that justice is unevenly distributed.

moral life of a Muslim is always full of piety, devotion and righteousness. Live in the world with the conviction that God is our only Sovereign, that everything that he and others may have been given by God, the powers at its disposal are nothing more than a deposit of God, that freedom that has been conferred must be used with discernment, and it is for your own benefit to use it as God's will. Will always keep in the spirit that must one day return to their Lord and give account of his life. The feeling of responsibility will always remain firmly entrenched in their spirit and never will behave irresponsibly or indifferent.

Consider the moral excellence of a man who lives with such provisions will be a [...] blessing for humanity, his spirit will not be disturbed by evil thoughts and perverted ambitions. Refrain from view, to understand and do evil. Master their language and do not ever utter lie. Keep your life in a fair and honest, and will prefer hunger to food gained by exploitation or injustice. Will never be complicit in the oppression or violation of human life and honor, whatever the form. Never give in to evil, whatever the price he has to pay for it. It will be the same goodness and nobility and will defend the right and truth, even at the cost of his own life. Hate all forms of injustice, be erected defender of truth that could not shoot down adversity. [...]

be the most honest and respected, and nobody can be overcome in this field. How could I reach the humiliation of a man to ask a favor does not extend the hand or bow to anyone but Almighty God, Sovereign of the Universe? [...]

Nobody in the world would be richer and more independent than he, because he will live a life of austerity and contemplation. Do not be sexy, neither weak nor greedy. Be content with what we earn honestly, and even if lots of wealth ill-gotten put before him, will reject with contempt. You will have peace and contentment of heart. Is there wealth greater than this? [...]

If they understood the true nature of a Muslim, will be convinced that he can not live in humiliation, slavery or submission. [...] Because Islam instills the qualities that are not overshadowed by any charm or no illusion.

Having lived a respectable and honorable life on earth, will return to its Creator, who pour out His blessings on him, because it has fulfilled its duty honorably, and has fulfilled its mission with victory in the testing. Has gotten out of life on earth and known in the subsequent peace, joy and eternal happiness.

This is Islam, the natural religion of man. [...] From all time, all who acknowledge God and love the truth, have believed in this religion and were satisfied with it. Even if they called this way of life Islam or otherwise. Whatever its name, meant Islam, total submission to the law and the will of the Creator.

Century Life: Mere Illusion fallacy worthless

LIFE: illusion, fallacy, STEAM worthless

By: Néstor Pedraza

My mom took me very early in the morning to the whereabouts of the route school, when we passed a corpse lying on the lawn. It was cool. I count seven or eight years, and I think it was my first contact with death. At that age, other people I know and had attended mass graves of relatives and acquaintances, dead hands each other or at the hands of the guerrillas, the police or the military. Other, younger, and would have been between its close, having fallen into the hands of paramilitaries or drug traffickers.

Unlike those who have been victims of violence in this country who have come to town not to drown in rivers of blood from their land, I am among those who have seen the War on TV. Escobar only with their bombs on the streets of Bogotá, we did see a little more closely what is being experienced on a daily basis in the Colombian countryside.

I surrounded myself with another kind of death. Overdose of antidepressants, rat poison, jumping back from a fifth floor, convulsing with cyanide in the arms of the bride, deadly drug cocktails, weeks in alcohol systematically and continuously, leaving the dignity and soul between some sheets putrid stink of sex ... death searches, individual and collective. When you live in a country where death round fields and streets with impunity by leaving trails of endless mass graves throughout the country, and strives to surround himself with the search fallacious evaders of living, is that you have a serious problem . Yes, buried several of my friends. Others out there, still breathing very reluctantly. It taught me early on that no one owns his life, not matter how hard you try to die, nobody dies yesterday. So I abandoned any attempt at suicide, death will come to me when it's time, either before or after, no matter what you do about it.

My contact with the extreme selfishness and avoidance mean suicide, created in me a barrier that has prevented me from understanding what makes people cling to life. I've seen that people will always cling to something, someone, to give meaning to life, and always end up disappointed, because human beings are imperfect, make mistakes, and will inevitably fail those we love. So people are being filled with fear, pain, hurt, bitterness, frustration ... And yet they feel like breathing more valuable than what may exist. I am meaning to a person persecuted for no reason, evicted from their land by war, he has left behind the bodies of their loved ones, eager to continue living in spite of everything: In some ways, life has been to convert an obligation, one must survive the war to tell the story and remember the fallen. But in the permanent death of those who never knew how to work the land, we only know the ignominy of capitalist exploitation (no matter how juicy is the salary, is still holding), can not find how to empathize with those who cling to the act of breathing as living a true life. For years, accompanied him on his mad self-destructive acts and was part of them, as he watched and analyzed. I was aware that destroyed my whole being, and simply did not care. They, in turn, had a desire to "live," and seemed to sincerely believe that all this vice, all that slavery, all this stupidity, they were "life." I never could understand, much less fit in and be like them. Stranger in a strange land, I moved in many different circles, I met people all sorts of religions and ideologies, different cultures and beliefs, world views and life very different, but all and all, without choice, ended up exactly the same. The vehicle varied: drugs, alcohol, sex, violence, snuff, fraud, treason, work ... Whatever it was, so to avoid life, while said to be "living" to the fullest. "This is life!," Was the phrase I heard most on the lips of any person, regardless of gender, ethnicity, nationality, socioeconomic status or level of schooling, when he was in the midst of their process of self-destruction. Rarely met people that cultural tradition or philosophical beliefs, seemed to break that mold completely. For the most part, were simply more sophisticated ways and less self-destructive escape, which were seen as "spiritual." Generally from higher socioeconomic strata, these "spiritual" to live "healthy" in a modern style which dazzles many, except those who have to fight tooth and nail every day to survive. They go to hug trees and think that with a smile will change the world. But inside their homes is not as "green" meant to show to others.

As you can see, I'm not someone who has faith in humanity. It may be in large part by my love of history. Indeed, the history books are hardly talking about the communities that lived in peace for centuries. These long periods of peace are appointed only one line: "Between the year (or century) such and the year (or century) such, the rule (or the community or ethnicity) they had a period of peace." The rest is the record of wars. Read story gives one the false impression that humans have been killing each other relentlessly since the beginning of time, and we have not known any other way of life than that. Thing, of course, totally false.

But perhaps my lack of faith in humanity is simply the fact that we are fallible, imperfect. No matter how good, straight and ethics is a person, will always be susceptible to warping. A catastrophe, a treasure, an illusion, a crush, can completely transform a human being. Just need to press the correct button to unleash corruption, revenge, lust for power, selfishness, anger, jealousy, or any other emotion that leads a person to commit a momentary stupidity will regret the rest of his days, or become a wretch. And not only that. Even those who manage to keep straight, they may fail you when you need it most, not once but many varied and colorful ways.

say that the solution to everything is love. But what is love? For millennia, poets have sung of love in a million ways and has never been agreement on what it is. In the last century, psychologists have tried to do what the poets, and have failed in the attempt. The books on "how to love," "living and love in freedom, "" advice for love, "and the like, have sold like hotcakes in the last 50 years, however, people are becoming more lonely and empty. Neuroscientists have been content to define love in terms of electrical impulses and dose of hormones, so what use is it for the development of the human race? Do you think of love as a series of chemical and electrical processes will help us to find ways to live in peace and harmony? Or is that the millions of dead left by the defenders of love have helped to make the world better today than in times of the Crusades and the conquest of America? The only certainty is that you can not build a society without rules, and that at the point of love is just impossible. Even a family can be built only with love. To quote a popular saying: "When hunger comes through the door to a home, love jumps out the window." Love must be accompanied by justice and many other things for the community life possible.

I'm not the first nor the only, or be the last, to say that everything in life is an illusion. Pedro Calderón de la Barca put it this way in the seventeenth century: " What is life? A frenzy. What is life? An illusion, a shadow, a fiction . And Lewis Carroll in the nineteenth century: "What is life but a dream?" mystics, Buddhists and Hindus have claimed for centuries. Thinkers and philosophers, Jews and Christians have agreed with it. The prophets have said time and again. Plato claimed that the man lives in a world of darkness, as a captive in a cave. And indeed, it has sprouted in me another way to see this life is a prison that we are against our will. Yes, against our will, because we can not leave here when we want, and even came when we wanted. Someone asked me to come to this world, as many believe? HA! No way would have accepted a proposal as absurd. Spitting in the face of whom I propose born, my answer would have been calmer. Reencarnaré after death ", as many believe? If reincarnation exists, I have cursed in front of it returns to a rayarle this rot for the face and cut it into pieces, veeeeery slowly. Come back to this prison, to face the pain again, betrayal and frustration, to work as a mule under the yoke of miserable few who do not even have the opportunity of hit in the face, to witness again the stupidity and bloodshed, to hear testimonies of abused, raped, displaced families from their land for no reason, people at risk of death for denouncing the evil, people mutilated and stripped by mere incompetence or negligence of others, or perhaps no longer to be a witness but a victim of this, because in this life I have done quite well, but in future there is no guarantee of anything, "and all for what? Why learn? Learn what, if the same can not remember what I learned in past lives? "Learn why, if what I learned in this life is not going to be useful in the next? "Learn this world is temporary and that everything in it is illusion, that there is nothing in the universe for what it's worth really worth living or dying? I do not need ten lives, not two, not even a whole life to learn that: he had already understood shortly after they reach adolescence, and I can go then, thanks.

And do not tell me what to learn is the opposite, because that would be stupid. The greatest characters in history, the greatest spiritual leaders, the only people that one could conceive as true role models, have been taught that this life is an illusion. And only have to be a little observer to realize that man is but a fragile moth trapped in a dark cave, crashing over and over against the walls of the cave in the midst of darkness. So Michel de Montaigne put it in the sixteenth century: "Man is something amazingly vain, variable and waving." If we were in a cycle of reincarnations, at this point at least half of humanity and would be in a spiritual level so high that the other half live learn quickly from their example. If the first souls would be hanging around here for over 100,000 years! But as said the warrior III century BC Chinese Hung Tieng:

"The dew on the lily has disappeared shortly after dawn. The morning dew evaporated, come again at dawn. Man dies and always ends, does anyone has ever returned from the beyond? "

Human
. We are capable of great creations, to transform our environment to improve it, to love and build, and also the most heinous atrocities, senseless killings of unspeakable crimes. We are not one or the other, we both. Each of us carries within him an artist and a murderer, an advocate and an oppressor, a sage and a fool, a saint and a criminal, be sweet and another ruthless. And depending on the context, history, life itself, sometimes we get what one, sometimes the other, sometimes individually, sometimes collectively. How can rely on such a creature? Those who serve you support today, tomorrow will deliver to your enemies, or bury you alive, or you just leave and continue another way. And so they should not be surprising at all, nor should we expect anything different.

life itself itself is meaningless. Most people spend their lives trying to make sense, clinging to this or that, as what gives meaning to their lives is crumbling self-destruction. And how creative and different are we to destroy ourselves!

can be filled with reasons to live: to fight for their country, for an ideal, the family, to achieve a dream, money and power, for recognition and fame, water conservation, human rights, the return of the dispossessed of their land, the future of children, to establish pederasty as an option legitimate sexual ... Many of the Crusaders believed sincerely struggling to earn heaven, and with this conviction took out some of the greatest massacres in history against the Arabs, but they were only puppets of economic and political interests. Many gringos went to Iraq convinced that defending freedom, and carried out some of the worst war crimes of the past decades, but they were only puppets in the service of oil multinationals. Many parents have given their best for their children, who have become drug addicts, gangsters, white-collar thieves tyrants or despots. Is it worth the effort? It would be interesting to know the mother's opinion of Hitler, but he died when he was just 18.

If one weighs the pros and cons of every step and every action puts the questions "Is this right?, Could do better?," worth it?, what guarantee do I have? "life is terribly heavy. And when the balance, there is always the red, despite how careful you are. How often one hears people complain because they "did his best" and the result was, if not catastrophic, disappointing? Life can have many joys, but in the end, if someone wants to feel satisfied, you have to make many concessions to himself and the world.

And that's what we do. Over the years, we become less demanding with ourselves and others, to not feel so overwhelmed. We always end up running away, one way or another. Again, I turn to Montaigne: "To those who ask me the reason for my trip I tell them that I know well what I run, but I do not know what I want."

I never know what sought, was not even sure to find something. But I knew I had found it when I read:

"Is not this hateful life of this world? Hateful what is in it, except the remembrance of God and what is close to it. And the wise teacher and the student learns. "

" I know in this life as if you were an alien or like you're passing through. "
" This world is a prison for the believer and a paradise for the unbeliever. "

"Be austere in this life and God will love you, and dispenses with what men have and they will love you."

These sentences were pronounced the man himself had said "faith comes from knowledge," still head of state being slept on the floor on a mat filled with tanned leather palm fiber, which have military supremacy won a city without bloodshed and respected life, honor and property of its inhabitants (although they had chased and tried to kill him, and had tortured their fans), and managed to join a small group of barbarian tribes to turn them into a civilized state, which would become one of the major empires that humanity has seen, just 70 years after his death. This man called my attention immediately, and if his life story struck me, their message changed the course of mine.

Over time I have to wonder if it is true that what some old acquaintances have accused me: That I have ended the band, I thought the only way to find and I refused the chance to see others I became a radical. I look back and examine my past life. I always knew I lived because it was useless to try to kill me, not because life was very precious. Most of the time was spent in major depression. Nothing motivates me. I tried to hold on to literature, but I was never quite sure why. Ultimately, it was only an evasion mechanism more sophisticated than most. But then, I fell in others. Like my life ended up as a slave to the vices and stupidity as any other. Not even sought a religion or a philosophy, sought only how to live with some dignity, without prostituting my soul and my work without destroying the other, not enslave orders too large capitals, and if possible, giving me something other, something that made me feel useful. I tried for decades and failed miserably.

Now my perspective is different. People will always fail, fall, sometimes they rise again to fall again. And among the people I am, I've spent more time failing and falling down than trying to get up. But no matter, you accept that this God created man, and you do not do things to please others. If people fail, God never fails, and you act to please Him If one fails, people may hate you, but God can forgive him. What this world is a mess? Yes, well, Carlos Gardel sang it at the beginning of the twentieth century: "The world was and will be a mess, I know, in five hundred and six and in two thousand too ... " what? If one complies with the law of God, then you live the right way. There has to be wondering if it is working well, or if it's worth what you are doing. Is good because God has established so worth it because God will reward. And if you live well, you know that is providing a bit to make the world better. But he also knows that no one depends on the world to change, you do what you have to do, and does it well, the rest is in the hands of the Creator.

in the Koran Now I have an instruction manual that has historically proven effective to build lives, communities and nations, healthy and fair. I have also the authentic Sunnah of Muhammad (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) an example to follow which historically has proven to be the best example of human behavior. Muhammad (BYP) lived like all the prophets, to follow him is to follow Abraham, Moses, Jesus (Peace of God be upon them all). That is, it tries to imitate the best men that have existed in all times and try to live like them. Now I have a north, a guide and an example. A light and way am no longer crashing against the walls of the cave in the dark. Do not depend on priests, saints, virgins, imams, enlightened, pastors, infallible ... or depend on visions, voices, dreams or lighting that I can play my whims or the whims of religious authorities which may even be the result of psychiatric disorders or active imaginations, do not: for it is the revealed word. Nor do I rely on my own ethics and constantly wondering if this ethic is correct or if due to my prejudices, bad habits and personal interests. I have direct communication with God, knowing His word and example of His Messenger (BYP), I know what He wants me, and what I am in this world. I know how I behave and what are my primary responsibilities. In Islam is meeting all the knowledge and guidelines necessary to build me as a person, to build a family, to build a community, a nation.

This is an illusory world in which the only reality is God. A world traveler, who came because God wanted it that way (I would not respect someone had asked me, as a soldier would not respect a general who asked him about the battle strategy and what position it would occupy) and thank God that I will not return once I'm gone. A world that is only a test preparation and real life, a life in which God willing, I see the Garden and meet the end of freedom.

What if apostasy and stop being a Muslim? Well, what can you offer in return? I'm not tempted by money or power, or fame, living in total darkness. Women? My physical and spiritual scars respond to that question. Nothing motivates me in this world, nothing catches my eye, there is nothing that I consider worth enough to leave the comfort of my bed and sleep delight. Even the children, because the only good and decent that you can do for them is to prepare them to go and make his own life, not expecting to thank overturn. One dies and nothing is carried, said the grandparents, so why fight? And if the matter Life is material, what is it spiritual? "Mysticism, perhaps? That seems too drugs. And drugs never caught my attention. Moreover, at least if you use drugs, know that the effect is immediate, and knows how long. With mysticism never know. You have to go every Sunday to see if a miracle happens, see if you feel the "touch of the spirit," but no guarantees. Sometimes yes, sometimes no ... Sometimes it's a good trip, sometimes not. I shared with many of the "played" very strong self-destruction days. No, never able to convince me that being "touched" every weekend to do different from me. Neither asceticism attracted me, because after all, no sense that God had given us this body to do it only on one side and deny our needs, including the need for contact, communication, communion with others.

So what if it ceases to be Muslim? I could not return to business as before. Before you knew there was nothing to serve, but believed there was no choice at all. Now that I know no alternative, he could not return to the same. Nor may stick some philosophical, religious or political group, after all I knew about it. Prior failed to capture, let alone now. I would ascetic or monk, and frankly devoted to amass a fortune or becoming a serial murderer is too much energy invested in meaningless platitudes, and I'm not sick in the head, fortunately.

No, there is nothing for me out of Islam, but let me die in bed while watching impassively at the ceiling for weeks. In Islam there is light, knowledge, wisdom, people who do not need to say anything to convince me of anything, just share with me and that share is everything, at the time we spent together I can feel, see, smell what life is like a step that if you can give leads to something better, and they are living proof that this step can give themselves the right way, as God intended. Now that I'm Muslim, for the first time in my life I'm surrounded by zombies, I'm surrounded by people alive, that is not clinging to this life, but living well in preparation for eternal life. And I learn every day from them. But do not depend on them, I rely on God, I owe Him alone Even if they are corrupted, I showed that it is possible, and the guide is still there, within my reach.

Living
worth it, because they live to please God through a righteous life, and life straight means helping others without expecting to be thanked (God is one who recognizes the good works), looking after the environment is not as "green" but because God placed in trust building correctly, be kind to animals, work honestly , have a family to worship God, to have children who can be taught to live the right way to be builders of a just society in the future (and not empty fools who cut the veins every week). And if you do things right, and eventually something goes wrong, you're calm, they did what he had done the right way. Live according to God's law makes sense, and has rewards in this world and in the other life. Beyond that, nothing makes sense.

So you can call me radical. If you have another way to be happy in it, follow it with full conviction, but not by chance trying to show me as an option, not even pretend that I accept that is a valid path. I spent too many years in too many ways, and today no one raised me something different to all that what I went through, and only account on my memory as years thrown away. Being Muslim does not free me of pain, injustice and evil, but it gives me a north, makes me a better person and prepared me for what come. I'm a discipline, a moral, a comprehensive socio-economic-political-economic independent of communism, feudalism, capitalism and other man-made system (all historically failed), a ritual (as necessary for life daily), a worldview, a way of thinking, a reason for living, basic rules (fundamental for living together in family and community), to teach me the correct way to eat and sleep so that even those acts become as simple acts of worship to God and benefit me both physically and spiritually.

Quien sea salvado del Fuego e admitted to Paradise will have triumphed. The worldly life is nothing but a pleasure illusory "(Quran 3:185).

Vapor Men and Women are Different

MEN AND WOMEN ARE DIFFERENT

by Dr. Pilar Sordo

share the full video of a talk by psychologist and author Chilean Pilar Sordo, famous the success of his book Viva la Difference!, which has become in record sales. In this talk, we are reminded that men and women are different. By accepting these differences with which God has created us and take on roles that He has ordained for us, we can develop as individuals, at peace with Him, with our environment and ourselves, and build a better society. But when women are "masculinized" to mimic a false model of man, and men are "feminized" to fill the void left by them, the result ... we can see today, every day. In his talk, Dr. Sordo says

"I can be permanently happy as you find meaning in what I do. And for that we need not always do what we want. People always do what they want are not happy, do not grow. Always do what you want us selfish people, conceited, vain, nothing empathetic, because we're focused on what I get. "

In fact, most people today are dedicated to achieving their personal benefit, either because they are slaves to money, luxury, their passions and instincts, emotions, or because they only act on the desire to maintain a clear conscience, making them slaves of their own ethics, which changes with time and circumstances, and that apparently makes people worried about others, but that reflects more the gaps in their personal lives and the inability to do something for his self and his own family.

the contrary is the case of a believer who knows the true meaning of life and all it does: please God with every act of his existence . The believer does not do what he wants but what God commands. So, is supportive, loving, sincere, straight, honest, patient, etc.., Not to gain fame and recognition, and to maintain a clear conscience, not even because "it is right," but because that is what prophets have taught, because that lifestyle is pleasing to the Creator (see Where are men like Elijah, David, Joshua, Daniel ... Women like Deborah, Esther, Mary ...? ).

also says Dr. Sordo: "The great triumph of evil in the twenty-first century have us believe that the strength of Will is stupidity. That I must not strive for anything. " I would add: The first demon has convinced us that there is, then we are not careful, we fail to defend against their whispers and their deceptions. Then convince us that love does not exist, then we to love our neighbor, to ourselves, even God. Now convinced us that willpower is stupid, then we no longer strive for anything, and we live well in this world and save and go to heaven for the simple reason that "God understands me," undeveloped discipline, not a life line, without fulfilling the basic mandate of "do good and forbid evil." So do not seek to please God, not looking away from the devil, not love. And yet we complain that the world is as it is?

Anoto other phrases that caught my attention in this talk:

"Today, women can not offer cheaper. Objectively, women can not be easier. Before the man had to pay a mariachi and send chocolates and many bunches of flowers for that agreed to go out to eat. Today, with two drinks a man takes a woman to bed with a incredible ease. That has to do with the low value placed on being a woman. " (See The liberation of women through Islam )

"do not know what disoriented psychologist said parents had to be friends of their children. In this type burn it in the public square."

"We now have a generation merengue, weak, whose problems by 80% due to having too much, and because we have not taught to value anything you have." (See History of Muslim survivors of the Srebrenica massacre ).

"Children need to suffer need frustration, need to take responsibility ... "

" Women of this generation, under age 35 are masculinized because they got tired of listening to their mothers and grandmothers complain about being female. "

" Those of us fortunate to have our basic needs met, every time we have become more dissatisfied. " (See Pedagogy of disinformation: Haiti ).

The Qur'an: Its Reading, Collection and Preservation in the American Muslim

THE KORAN: THE READING COLLECTION AND PRESERVATION IN HISTORY

By: Abu Al-A'la Al-Maududi

Extract (fragments) of the book "Basic Principles for Understanding the Quran" published in 1986 in Madrid, by the Islamic Centre in Spain and the Ministry of Awqaf and Islamic Affairs of Kuwait. The book and served as introduction entitled "The Meaning of the Quran," a monumental work by the same author.

The same text, expanded and revised, is also available in the book "Learn the Qur'an", published in 2006 in Riyadh by International Islamic Publishing House.

THE KORAN: A BOOK ONLY

Before beginning the study of the Koran, we must remember that it is a unique book (without it), completely different all conventional books, information, ideas and arguments on specific issues in accordance with literature. Therefore, a layman is bewildered at not finding the items advertised, chapters and selections according to a conventional order, or treated separately. By contrast, the different aspects of life are treated in a completely different way. The Koran is beliefs, moral instructions, statutes and laws, warns the disbelievers, calls upon human beings to embrace the Islamic faith.

Exposes teachings of historical events, admonishes, announces the good news, and all mixed in a beautiful way. The same theme is repeated in different ways and a question follows another without any apparent connection. Sometimes a new theme appears in the middle of another without obvious reason. The speaker and the speaker and the leadership to manage, change unexpectedly. Historical events are not presented as historical texts to the way the human historian. The treatment of the problems of philosophy and metaphysics differs from the sacred texts by humans to these substances. The man and the universe are considered in a different language to that used in the natural sciences. It is also original in its approach to solving the problems cultural, political, social and economic.

principles and mandates of the law are treated in a manner totally different from sociologists, legislators and jurists. The moral is proclaimed and preached in a way that is unparalleled in all the literature on the subject.

Therefore, the unsuspecting reader sees the Qur'anic text with preconceived ideas, and finding none conventional incoherent mystify and judges, without order or continuity in their verses on the subject. As a result of this lack of initiation into the text of the Koran, his critics are hesitant to draw fallacious and absurd objections. It sometimes comes to disturb some of his modern followers, to get rid of doubts, take refuge in foreign considerations. Elude the elucidation of the matter developed amazing speculations, for reassurance. Sometimes trying to create artificial connections between the verses and come to accept even conception-forged by the detractors that there is coherence and order on the issues, and therefore isolated verses out of context give rise to confusion in assessing their significance.

This happens when the reader does not take into consideration unnoticed as the unique and unparalleled revelation of God in the Qur'anic verses and Suras.

To penetrate the Quranic revelation, all preconceived ideas about style, method and order, and the design of what should be a book of "religion" should be dissolved. Without prejudice may penetrate into its essence and draw enrich your soul with a unique and priceless treasure. [...]

Precious
aids will unravel the truth Quranic knowledge of their true nature, its central idea, the goal and theme. Also, the style, terms and methods, environment and circumstances (historical context) must be taken either to penetrate present their evidence. [...]

COLLECTION

God to reveal the Qur'an enacted the provision for the preservation of the message-of any misrepresentation, for their survival.

As verses and suras were revealed to the Prophet (peace and blessings of God be upon him), were written by scribes in date palm leaves, bark, bones, etc., beautifully kept. In addition, countless followers copied these texts for the devotion and many believers to recite memorized in your prayers. While many companions of the Prophet (BYP) they memorize the entire Quran, his collection was carried out after death of the Prophet (BYP). In armed clashes that occurred as a result of a furious wave of apostasy, many of the companions of the Prophet (BYP) who had memorized the Quran, fell. That was how Abu Baker (may God be pleased with him)-successor to the Prophet considered it vital to preserve the Qur'an, recorded in writing in a book to preserve it intact.

Zaid ibn Thabit (may Allah be pleased with him) was devolved for the momentous task of copying the Revelation contained in the Koran. Their suitability and competence had already been consecrated by the Prophet (BYP) and Zaid often acted as his amanuensis, and was one of the companions (sajaba) who knew the Koran by heart, and had witnessed the entire Quran recitation by Muhammad (BYP) to the Angel Gabriel (peace of God be upon him).

The text corpus of the Holy Quran was done with the cooperation of the companions of the Prophet (BYP) who had memorized the Quran in full or fragmented. This historic and sacred task was carefully performed by taking all appropriate measures to avoid distorting the Revelation: checking all parts, word by word, comparing and verifying all the text to be certified for authenticity, since all the Revelation was written under the dictation of the Prophet (BYP) and its control by Muslim scribes.

The compiled text of the Quran in its entirety was kept in the house of Jafsah (C), the daughter of Omar (C) and one of the wives of the Prophet (BYP), and proclaimed that any Muslim could get true copy of the Koran or to compare if the person already had a manuscript copy of the text of your property. In the compilation of the Quran followed the same order as the Prophet (BYP) had established. The order of the chapters (suras) is as authoritative as the text Zaid wrote. No basis to assume that the current order of the suras is after the death of the Prophet (BYP) and not according to that followed by Muhammad (BYP). And we refer to the fact that the Prophet (BYP) recited the entire Quran every month of Ramadan before the angel Gabriel (P), but during the last Ramadan of his life, the Prophet (BYP) recited it twice to fully the angel Gabriel (P) and Zaid (C) attended the second reading. It is therefore evident that Zaid (C) followed this order of the Prophet (BYP).

Imam Malik explains: "The Koran was compiled in the order in which the companions of the Prophet (BYP) heard him recite." Moreover, in several paragraphs, the Qur'an is described in the book of Revelation. One example is the sura "Muzzamil" (one of the first revelations of Mecca), where God commands the Prophet (BYP): "Recite the Qur'an in order" (73:4). This shows that since the beginning of Revelation, God had established it was meant to be a book with a predetermined order by the Creator of the Universe. [...]

PRESERVATION MESSAGES REVEALED

[...] Through the ages, God sent at all times and all peoples, a total of 124,000 prophets, and through them revealed 104 books, whose knowledge and legislation was summarized in three: The Torah, the Gospel and the Psalms. Finally, God sent the Seal of the Prophets (BYP) and through him, revealed the sum of knowledge and the law of all previous revelations, the Koran, which incorporated the beauty of the previous messages were surpassed in perfection and glory.

Because messages above were directed at a particular time, these were not permanent or lasting. Thus Almighty Allah, not guaranteed to be retained unchanged. Neither ordered all memorize. The task of conserving the researchers took some of the nations that receive them.
But for the last message, God granted their conservation and did not trust the work to humans. God said: "Verily We have revealed the Quran and We will assuredly guard it. (Quran 15:9).

If you look at today's world, both East West will find countless people who have memorized the Koran, to the point that if someone wanted to change a single letter from him, a young boy, a housewife or an old woman could fix and identify where the error or tampering. Not to mention the scholars who have memorized it and understand its deeper meanings. [...]

UNIVERSALITY OF THE MESSAGE OF ISLAM

The Quran states beyond doubt, be a guide for humanity.

entire Qur'an addresses humanity and if it relates to local items, native or belonging to the inhabitants of the Arabian Peninsula is because there in that environment, in context and historical circumstances in which the Prophet (BYP) was to begin his sermon, it was obviously necessary to form the first embryo or the card first community of Muslims who, when transformed, transform your mindset and community, and as Muslims were taking the message to their fellow human beings without discrimination of color, nationality, borders, etc.

Clearly, the fact that the Koran denounces and condemns blasphemous beliefs stigmatize the deviant behavior of a particular community, and present arguments relying on the material resources of the environment or the Arabs can not, at all, a circumstance justifying the claim of those who argue that it is a local preaching.

No religion, philosophy, lifestyle or religion to expose from the beginning to the end of their doctrine without reference to specific examples of circumstances and capable of moving the souls of those who receive the message. [...]

If one wishes to know the solution of a certain Koranic human problem, you should first make a study the literature on the subject both ancient and modern, and write basic subjects. You should also make use of the research done so far on the problem and to illustrate their points of interest. Then they should study the Koran in order to find the answers to these issues. From my own personal experience I can say that when you study the Koran with the aim of investigating any problem, find answers for it even in those verses that one had overlooked without ever imagined were there. [...]

interpretation of the Koran

[...] While it is true that the Quran strongly condemns those who distorted the word of God, in no way opposed to the healthy difference of opinion in the interpretation of its mandate, provided that:

  1. Hague agreement as regards the essential principles of Islam, despite their divergent views, and

  2. be united within the beliefs and the Muslim community.
The Koran disapproves any disagreement or involves carrying deification or vanity or perversion, or may lead to sectarian fighting and causing schisms or creating sects.

While there, since the beginning of Islam, differences among the scholars who interpreted the principles of faith, even among the companions of the Prophet (BYP) and his followers not were consistent with one voice with respect to the commands and prohibitions, not only among the performers of recent times, we should note that this discrepancy from a healthy, critical and objective interpretation is essential for healthy and prosperous, and source of wisdom and a community living and thinking smart.

We emphasize putting out that type of divergence condemned in Islam is destroying the community that nurtures, distorting and disintegrating values \u200b\u200band therefore Muslim society. This divergence is a pathogen, not a sign of health but of disease.

These two kinds of differences of interpretation can be more fully illustrated by the following:

Suppose that two scholars, who agree in principle that only God and His Messenger merit obedience and that the Quran and authentic Sunnah of the Prophet (BYP) are the only sources of authority to determine all applicable laws and regulations, they may differ in detail or decision of a case where none of them make your decision a criteria of Islam and declare that the other is outside the Islamic community for the fact disagree with your opinion. Can present their own arguments in defense of his views before the court, if it is a court case, or to the community council, if it's their business. Then, one of the two different views prevail, or both shall be admitted. But it should be noted especially that can not be allowed any difference in the principles fundamentals of Islam, or considerations, principles or rules that may lead to the formation of a new community (as with the Shi'a). For example, it is wrong for a scholar or a lawyer or a governor, to develop an opinion on any subject (God and His Messenger to consider basic) and declare that it is a fundamental principle of Islam (such as sects declaring the Imamate Chias as "fundamental principle" of Islam), and then denounce those who differ from him as missing (as, indeed, do Chias to declare out of Islam who do not accept the "infallibility" of their imams), and then basis in this, proceeded to form another "Muslim" with their own followers and proclaimed: "This is the true Muslim community" and all those outside of it are doomed to hellfire (statements that can be seen in various documents Chias doctrinal sects and other cults like coranitas). Therefore, if you are a Muslim, come and join her, because if you do, you're not Muslim. This is the kind of difference of opinion that the Qur'an condemns. [See The Shi'a is not Islam, http://mensajesenlaruta.blogspot.com/2009/11/el-chiismo-no-es-islam.html ].

On the first type of discrepancy, there were several examples during the time of the Prophet (BYP). The Messenger of God (BYP) not only allowed, but spoke well of them, approving those demonstrations as a healthy thing that intelligent people of the community was thinking and researching (this type of sound disagreement arose the four schools of jurisprudence Islam: Maliki, Jambalí, Janafí and Chafia, all right and all of them within Ajlul Sunna).

SUGGESTIONS FOR THE STUDY OF THE KORAN

[...] People
encouraged by the diverse goals and purposes try to learn or to learn through the essence of Islam Quran. It is not possible, therefore, provide a general guide that suits all purposes. Anyway, to those who want to understand and penetrate in his message for the solution of human problems, we offer some guidelines that can help meet their needs and ignore their problems.

essential requirement for the full knowledge of the Qur'an, should be considered with a mind free of preconceived ideas, objective and impartial. A clear mind free of prejudice can animated a sincere desire for knowledge, understand the message contained in the Koran.

A superficial reading can only give an uncertain, superficial and wrong. The real knowledge requires sustained attention, repeated considerations, consistent analysis and a deep meditation and stopped. Only then may eventually include the unfathomable treasures of the Koran. [...]

And every question patiently strive to find the answer in successive readings made with the aim of understanding the Quran.

Slowly from general to detailed, you will discover the spirit of Islam and unravel. The only way to know right from wrong, permissible and forbidden, as recommended and failed, to the perfection of man and his salvation and eternal bliss.

The Quran is a guide to the top, whose ultimate goal is the perfection of man, to win the bliss in the hereafter. The Koran was revealed to the Prophet (BYP) to encourage people to constructive action within the framework of God's standards for organized under an Order which the rules come from the Creator of the Universe. [...]

To experience and understand what happened during the revelation of the Koran, to evaluate the singular importance of the events that marked that event, it is obviously not able to learn that reality a mere recitation of its chapters (suras) and verses (verses).

To This demands the acceptance and performance, which is living under the rules of Islam. It should be an awareness, active and vigilant. Only then, the faithful can meditate and feel what happened in Mecca, Taif, Jabach ... and will pass through Bader representing fire, Ujod, Junaina, Tabuk, etc. [...] Thus, the Quran offers us the chance to enter their spirit even if we can not fathom the full meaning of their vocabulary. The same formula applies to their mandates, requirements, and moral teachings concerning the economy, culture, and all rules of human life, and as is evident, all this wealth of knowledge and experience can not be learned if not implemented. It is therefore obvious that individuals and human communities that discarded the Islamic rule of life, can not understand its meaning or even soak in spirit. [...]
